Welcome to my blog! This is a place where I can share my learning. My blog is a collection of questions, ideas, learning in progress and finished work. This year our school focus is "In Our Backyard". Please make comments so I can deepen my understanding, learn about new ideas and improve my work. Thank you for taking the time to support my learning journey!
Hi my name is Wilbur, Today I did leaf rubbing it was a bit hard at the start, so my mum showed me how to do it. After she showed me and I tried. This was my art. ⇩
Nice work Wilbur and thanks Sarah for helping out! I wonder what you will do with these? You could: add some colour (like your teacher did), use them to create a bigger art work. I look forward to seeing some of your other activities Wilbur.
Hey Wilbur, your leaves are really cool! There is a bit of a knack to rubbing on top of the paper and not moving the leaf underneath. Miss Whysall is right, you could make something with them... how about a mobile or an Autumn scene with lots of leaves scattered on the ground ...or in a big pile? (Don't you just love kicking a big pile of leaves in Autumn?!) What about turning your leaves into animals or bugs by drawing faces on them? What else have you been up to today? bye : )
Hi Wilbur! Great leaf rubbings!! Have you tried rubbing bark or even concrete. If you try it using two colours (move the paper slightly to do the second colour) it gives a really cool effect. Hope you're able to catch up with your friends virtually. Maria
Love the leaf rubbings Wilbur, with autumn here you will have so many to choose from now, are you collecting some on your walks? I think they can look great cut out and then all put together as a collage (check out what this means if you are not sure).
